Starting from the premature death of his father, it portrays his meteoric rise to win Roland Garros in 1997 under Larri Passos' mentorship, and the stellar performance that allowed him to be amongst the best of his time. Highlighting his iconic victories and his indomitable competitive spirit, his hardships, including the career-threatening injuries, and his heart wrenching retirement at Roland Garros in 2008, are explored. Through archival footage, interviews, and intimate moments, the documentary series offers a comprehensive look at the man behind the myth, thus revealing the humanity and greatness of one of the idols of Brazilian tennis.
